Enter/Return key problem? My return/enter key does not work to start a new paragraph/new line, only on this board. Shift-enter doers not work either. This started some months ago. Enter works elsewhere for me. Anyone else having this problem? I also cannot paste text into a blank post unless there is some text already in it (the box with cut/paste, etc. will not appear.)

Are you guys using Internet Explorer 10? I used to have the same problems when using IE10. I've switched to Google Chrome and I haven't had those problems since then. Brett of course will have the answer for sure, but I think this problem has to do with the web browser.

I have a Mac so I strictly use Safari, but for those of you with other types of computers, stick with Google Chrome.
It's by far the best one out there in my opinion.

Guys, I have Internet Explorer 10. This only began happening recently. Hard to say when, maybe a few months ago. How long for you, Sat?

Similar, a few months ago or so. It does it with IE 8 and 10. I don't use 9.

I'm not sure if this will help, but this sounds like a compatibility issues with the version of IE your using. Up in the address bar there should be an icon that looks like a ripped piece of paper. Clicking on that adjusts the setting so that the browser works with sites that have not been updated yet. Hope that does it for you.

Thanks Maloga.

It didn't seem to work the first time I did that step, but now it does. Do you have to refresh the site after clicking on that icon?

Will this fix it permanently for this site?

I get the impression that it's the site that is incompatible with new browsers. Is that right?

I notice that the torn paper icon turns, and remains, blue for this site.

This is weird. Apparently that problem gets fixed but then I can't see the user names again (they are there just hidden - this happened to me in the past). When I click the 'broken page' thing again they come back but then I can't hit enter. I'd rather see the user names and deal with the enter thing. Hopefully they can both be fixed somehow.

ps - After all these years, can't you tell whose post is whose? lol

yeah now I can't use quotes either. There have been quirky things going on for me for quite a while. Brett is the only one who would know.
