Can we at least admit that there is a double standard here? If media are going to refer to some media as “right wing” you should likewise refer to “left wing” media “left wing outlet Vox“, “left wing outlet huffington post“, “left wing outlet Salon.com“, “left wing outlet Think progress“, “left wing outlet Rolling stone“, “left wing outlet Yahoo news“, “left wing outlet msnbc“, “left wing outlet cnn”, “left wing outlet Washington post“, “left wing outlet New york times“, “left wing outlet Abc“, etc.

If the media is going to "out" people for past tweets, why does the liberal media write an article full of qualifiers defending a liberal writer?

As a public service, I want to give an update from the word police for two phrases now considered racist.

1) Cotton Picking Mind - This is now racist. Despite what Yosemite Sam said during Saturday morning cartoons, this is clearly racist. I will alert my childhood friend (who is black) that he should have been offended. I am sure the black community will label him an Uncle Tom or not black enough if they find out he laughed and mimicked him.

2) Monkey this up - Clearly racist. Also falling into this will be "Monkeying around", "Barrel full of Monkeys" "Monkey Bars" and all phrases will need to be removed from use. Ben and Jerry will need to change the name of Chunky Monkey as it is now racist and clearly insulting to overweight monkeys. The animal now called a monkey will need to be referenced to the "Animal formerly known as monkey".

I hope this helps everyone navigate today's PC world.

Am I the only one who finds it curious that President Clinton and Louis Farrakhan sat near each other at Aretha Franklin's funeral? There would be 24hr coverage on CNN/MSNBC is Trump sat there. Bigots are bigots...If one thinks Trump is a bigot, Farrakhan has to be one as well. He doesnt get a pass because he is black. same goes for Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Bigotry is bigotry.

Why is anyone surprised. Black people can say what they want to whomever they want and get away with it. All non-black need to follow the rules the progressives have established.

Warren has really opened a can of worms -- I've wanted to do the ancestory DNA tests for a while now. So if I find I'm 1% African, can I claim I'm black? If I find I'm 1% Jewish, can I get all of their religious holidays?

On another note, I find it sad what is happening to the left. Political Correctness is way worse than when I opened up this thread three years ago. Even I couldn't have imagined we'd end up here today. I have had to stop watching Tucker Carlson, not because I'm offended by him, but he always highlights the absurdities of the PC left, and I just find it too infuriating to watch. He's shown three cases where left-wing men have physically assaulted and harrassed conservative women. Much more of this, and when I get in the booth to vote in 2020, my hand is liable to flinch toward a certain president on the ballot, which is not something I am prepared to do. So it's probably time I bury my head in the sand.

One interesting article published on a study about Political Correctness:

And if you guys are really interested in some crude entertainment, but very serious point, (regarding PC culture), read about the New Soakl Hoax, by the same author in the same publication.

this is the hypocrisy that got Trump elected and the media/left has only doubled down on it. there are daily examples of this everywhere you look. Anger and hatred on the right? Just look at the protestors on the left shouting down people who disagree with their opinions. #metoo? The left hammers Kavanaugh over his "sexual allegations" while all but ignoring Bill Clinton and his shenanigans. The right as a bunch of hate mongers? Bill Clinton sat next to Louis Farrakhan at a funeral. Its a joke and why I really dont watch any news broadcasts, they are simply too biased to be useful.

I no sooner posted this and Yahoo had posted the article attached. The Cliffs Notes version is that Obamacare premiums dropped 1.5% in 2019 and Yahoo, media and the left is celebrating this as "Obamacare is finally working". The article goes on to say that a mid level plan in 2019 will cost $406 per month an increase of 69% since 2015.

Im not smart, but here's what I know.
1) Prices increased year over year since inception.
2) Prices are up 69% since 2015
3) in 2014, someone paid ~$250 / month for health care and now pay $406

Only the left and the biased media can find a way to call this a success. Disgusting how they play Americans for fools and really sad and scary that people truly believe what they are being told.

Welcome to the post-truth, post-human world pirate. Maybe it's been this way at different times throughout human history, and this is just the latest incarnation of it.
None the less, it's disgraceful, since many of the people peddling nonsense hold masters degrees or higher from prestigeous colleges. I guess the trillions we throw at education have really been worth it wouldn't you say?

At the risk of sounds like a nut, Kanye West had a post about “mind control” after the Oval Office vist last week. Of course he was mocked for it, but if you think about it, there is an element of truth in it. If someone speaks outside what progressives or conservatives believe your opinions are squashed as hate speech, stupid, dumb, whatever. There is no longer respect for differing opinions in this country.

I'll admit I don't suffer a lot of lost love for Kanye, but I can appreciate the premise. One way I look at it - I can't talk to 30% of the country about the realities of climate change. On the flip side, I don't dare bring up the hard truths about illegal immigration to another 30%, or else. And yet, both scenarios are true. Sadly, the crazies are running the asylum, and the other 40% of us are left to live in a group think, zombie-apocolypse. I like to believe at some point the great middle will get some say too, and even some sway in more elections. But I guess we haven't hit rock bottom yet.

I just put a bumper magnet on the tailgate of the truck - reading this: "THINK", It's not illegal (yet). I've gotten a few laughs from it. I'm thinking of getting a matching one for the Subaru. I'd say it's pretty appropriate for today's lunacy.

Here is a new term for your studies that we can add to the PC lexicon this fine morning. "Hate crime adjacent".

All the media focused on was her running for President again. If any Republican said it, the news cycle would still be spinning with the story. And the fact that HRC, the moderator and the audience all laughed is even worse. I guess they should all be branded racists

Read this quote a while ago and it is 100% true...."Freedom of the Press is guaranteed only to those who own one". Not sure who said it though.
