Sat -- Wow. Great bit of info; thanks for posting. I know it was longer than 24 hours but that came close to the 24 hour all time snowfall national record set way back when in CO.

Some pics from my parents block (Flushing/Fresh Meadows area, Queens NY)
Most of these pics were taken at 1:45am right after the last flake fell. Recorded around 28" on average. Some areas much more with drifts.

This was on the sidewalk looking north. This whole area was shoveled down to the ground 12 hours earlier. That is a parked car to the right.

Euro Ensemble showed this threat for the mid atlantic and for the NYC area at 216 hours. Amazing.
