The media's glorification of Castro's life is shocking and jaw dropping to say the least. For the talking heads to stand up and praise Castro's "success" for "his people in Cuba" is stunning. I am honestly at a loss for words. This is the same media that labeled Trump "Hitler like" for wanting to do enhanced background checks on Muslims. Not bar them, not kill them, just do extra screening. Yet a man who has killed thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of his own people is characterized as doing good things.

The media clearly has an agenda to move this country to socialism. A relative handful of people are shaping the country and the way it thinks. I truly dont know what to say anymore.

Yeah I don't get why some on the left are in love with Fidel Castro, for the reasons you mentioned. I do think the Americans could learn some lessons in hurricane preparation from the Cubans, but beyond that and maybe a couple of other things, Fidel Castro is not one to revere. Instead, he's more an object lesson of how overaggressive colonialism could rear its ugly head (which it most certainly did, in the form of a leader who did not like America...at all).

Yet the liberal talking heads are bending over backwards to him. It clearly shows what the agenda is, as if the election wasn't enough.

Did you expect anything less from our liberal, socialistic, communist loving media? One of their great leaders has died and they are in mourning right now. If our college kids had any brains they would study the policies of Cuba and see how oppressed the people are and make the connection that the elitists/media here want us to live to same way.

The media is not even a respected profession anymore and IMO they have been completely marginalized after this election. There is no objective reporting anymore and its quite clear that they want to divide this country just like their leader Obama. Thank God half of America still has a pulse and realizes the lies and hypocrisy of the media, the other half needs to wake up. They made such a big deal that Trump would question the results of the election but of course Hillary can do it without retribution. And for those who are so gullible to believe hate crimes are up dramatically, wake up! The liberals are the ones who are doing this posing as Trumpers. The liberals and the left are the ones rioting in the streets, the liberals are the ones preaching hate and divisiveness. The majority of the conservative working class people are too busy with trying to make a living to go out and do this stuff.

they liken trumps "talk" to that of hitler. yet, when dealing with a confirmed dictator and murderer they praise him!
people that believe anything from them must be insane...or dumb...or both

Any ideas why NBC Nightly News is broadcasting from Havana tonight? Amazing that they feel compelled to send Lester Holt to cover Castro's funeral. Even Obama is smart enough not to go or send a high ranking official.

Chuck Todd from NBC concedes that some degree of media bias exists:

He may concede the point, but has done nothing to change. Does anyone think that Chuck Todd or NBC/ABC/CBS/CNN news and their cable offshoots will become an unbiased news organization? Of course not. Their anti Trump campaign continues and the proven documentation showing them working hand in hand with the Democratic party surely continues.

He didn't really admit to their bias. He just tried to justify the one-sided coverage by saying they didn't want to come off as sexist. He didn't actually cop to the truth - that they have a pro-Democrat/anti-GOP agenda - and that they blatantly tried to help HRC win.

If one were to watch any newscast or read coverage of Trump's immigration action, one would walk away feeling there is no one in America who supports what he did. Flipping through the channels last night, every story was how bad this was, not one opposing view from folks who support it.

Was looking for a good thread to bring this up instead of starting it's own thread and this one seemed like the best option. The ho-hum reaction and (lack of) coverage in the media of LaVar Ball's comments is, while not surprising, still extremely shameful. Can you imagine if the father of a white player claimed his son's team lost because of the black players on the team? He would be crucified every where you turn in every single media outlet and it would be a top story for months.

He's another media hypocrite criticizing others for their actions while doing the same and should be fired. Same goes for liars like Dan Rather, Brian WIlliams, etc. The holier-than-thou media needs to be brought down from their pedestal.

The media's love affair with the Obama's continues....They are waxing poetic over the month long vacation they have been on in French Polynesia aboard the superyacht owned by David Geffen, you know, the type of vacations all ex presidents take. Makes me wonder
  • Tell me how a president (of either party) can afford a month on an exotic island like this. Is this a case of a president making money on the office, as the media accuses Trump of?
  • I wonder what the secret service bill is for this trip or does that only matter for Trump?
Double standards are funny like that....
