Injuries are decimating this team right now. Through June, the DL was a mix of:

Bird
Castro
Hicks
Holiday
CC
Warren
Chapman
Ellsbury
Call up Tyler Austin
Call up Dustin Fowler

Didi missed a month and Sanchez missed nearly a month.

Maybe its more surprising this team is still 7 games over .500 and 2-3 games out of first.

At the break, I give the Yanks an A for the 1st half of the season. Great trades in 2017 set this team up for a good future. The pitching staff is suspect, but the position players seem to be solidified for years to come, with the exception of 1B. I hope they dont do anything rash and trade away a Clint Frazier or equal for some slightly above average pitcher or middle reliever. Hold course, shed an Ellsbury or Gardner and bring in the young blood.

I haven't been following baseball as religiously as I have in the past especially with my Mets stinking this year but all I keep hearing and seeing places is this Aaron Judge kid. Guy is on a tear. A little off topic of both NY teams but the Houston Astros have been eating their wheaties I see 60-29 record at the break. Sheesh.

Good pickup for them. He's only batting in the low .200's but he's a good power-hitter. Will be good especially in Yankee Stadium.

Robertson had been effective for the Yanks.

Frazier has a low BA, but walks a lot. He's from Toms River, NJ.
