Since the location was at a practice for a basbeball team of Republican congressman...shooter is probably a member of the "tolerant and progressive" left.

they were clearly targeted as lawmakers...whether its because they were Republicans remains to be seen. What has this world become?

No doubt it was because they were Republicans. Before the shooting, he asked if it was Republicans or Democrats practicing on the field. According to reports...shooter was "a staunch Democrat who volunteered on for Bernie Sanders' campaign...His social media is filled with hateful posts about the president and his administration."

That's the loving, tolerant left for ya.

Yes, just read that account and his background. Lets just call the guy a nutcase rather than left or right. In some strange way, maybe this will cut the rhetoric, but I doubt it. I am sure there are people calling for stronger gun laws by now.

Most liberal rags have already published op-ed on their websites (and will no doubt appear in their print publications tomorrow) doing just that.

the guy is clearly crazy.

Of course, it didnt take long for the left to lay the blame squarley at Trump's feet. "Its his rhetoric that caused this". Its not possible that
  • Madonna telling people she wanted to blow up the White House caused this
  • Protestors saying House REpublicans should be lined up and shot caused this
  • A D-list celebrity holding the decapitated head of the president caused this
People are taking "resist" to mean "revolt" and that is something the left needs to own and be responsible for. Amazingly enough, they do what they normally do and blame others.

For the record, both sides are guilty. Both will talk about changing, but by this time next week, we will be back to politics as normal.
