Yeah, today was actually cool this afternoon. Mostly overcast with a breeze and in the 70s.

No evidence of any big rains coming, at least not now. Everything is weakening well back in Pennsylvania. Flood watches were up earlier but I think have since been dropped. A mostly OK day tomorrow I would think.

I'll eat it on this one. It's a soaker here this morning. Flood watches have been re-issued, albeit further north than the original watches.
If this is correct from Rutgers, over 2" in Walpack, and 3.5" at Pequest. Heavy bands are moving through now and look to last a while - at least another hour or two.
This really blew up again overnight.

I'll go with the "my backyard" forecast....little rain, hard for about an hour this mrning, but basically nothing overnight and early this morning.

And did anyone see the Nationals game last night that had a 3 hour rain delay and it barely rained. Pics of folks sitting in the stands, no rain, waiting for the game to start.

good call Robbs. It looks like the southern batch dissipated but it stayed pretty strong farther north.

Over 27" here which is about 6" above normal. Temps have been between 87 and 92 so not too bad. That's how I like summer. It's been more humid though with the rain we've had.

This was part of the storm complex which hit western and northwestern NJ particularly hard yesterday. Washington Township recorded over 5" of rain yesterday. https://www.youtube....h?v=CLIr0nULO7Y

Wow didn't realize this lasted long enough for those amounts. Was this all from the early Fri morning batch or was there more Fri afternoon?

Combined total -- the overnight rain after midnight of Thursday night into Friday morning; then another batch of storms in the late afternoon and Friday night. Note that there was a rapid drop-off if too far north. Nick in extreme northwest NJ by High Point got only 0.70" combined total. Less than a mile or two south and east of him had amounts 3 to 5 times that. He's been snake-bitten on precip both in summer and winter.

My town (Hamburg) supposedly got over 3" of rain and what's incredible is I am very close to Nick, only 15-20 minutes SE.
