Models are showing a rain event for late Friday into Saturday. The placement of the low keeps shifting on the models. The placement is key to determine who gets a lot of rain and who gets some rain.

Nam gives NYC 2+ inches of rain and just to the south of the area 5-6 + inches of rain

GFS gives NYC around 1 inch of rain and more to the south.

Will anyone really be surprised if this turns into a nothing event?

The models have definitely trended south with this so you will most likely be correct CB. Most of NJ should just see some showery weather, with heavier downpours along the coast, particularly in south jersey.

Maybe Home Depot should put out by the registers cases of sump pumps and sunscreens. They are going to probably sell out both.

GFS shows very little now. Maybe some moderate rain in south jersey. Good thing this isn't a winter storm! NAM shows a bit more but still not a big deal outside of south jersey.

Nothing up this way. Now forcast for me has no rain. Feels like an early fall day here. This summer has been great, not many humid and hot days. A lot of fall like days.

Seemed to be more of a breeze event than anything. I didn't mind the somewhat cooler temps yesterday though...it made for comfy walking!!!
