Epic fail. High clouds covered sun since 2pm. Missed the peak. Clouds are reflecting too much of the light to see anything.

high clouds here, but using the glasses I could see it. While it was cool to see, I have to say that I was underwhelmed, my expectations were much higher. I thought it would get much darker than it has been, but probably just unrealistic expectations on my part.

Used a welding helmet to view it down here on Randalls Island. Over-hyped event like everything else. Yawn.....

Good thing this isn't a fat liberal woman because then you'd be a fat shamer. It's OK though if it's Christie. Ahhhh the world we live in.

Saw the eclipse from the summit of Mt. Washington yesterday. This mountain is no joke.
Started out at the base which is just over 1500' conditions were sunny and 76F. At the summit it was 48F, 44 MPH winds and fog. Night and day.

Getting special weather statements on my phone for thunderstorms this evening. Be interesting to see if these develop. NWS seems quick to post these types of things recently. Seems like Ive had one or two of these a week all summer long

Good pool weather, the next several days may not be pool weather and then meteorological fall is here. :(
The line is moving toward us, but looks less impressive than before. Still some embedded heavy echos so we'll see.

Very few pool days this summer. Late June was the first time to really use it and then its been hit and miss since mid July. I call this the year without summer.....Rainy, cool, very few hot days.

10-15 minute delgue here with 3-4 good cracks of thunder. It's over now, still 75 degrees, 97% humidity, lovely evening.
See if we get some action later from one of the other lines still further back.
