It started heading back west on last nights 18z GFS run, and that trend continues. What is very interesting is the intensity of the storm. If it keeps trending west with that intensity, it will be a storm to remember.

That storm seems like a long shot but certainly anything can still happen. What might be in your favor is how far south it begins (FL area) and the fact that it comes at the tail end of this arctic outbreak (the 'caboose') and it seems like we go into a more zonal pattern afterwards with, possibly, even some sort of SE ridge.

The very cold air combined with the warm waters will make this storm explode.
