Yankees win the wildcard

I had a feeling they’d beat the A’s. Classic Yankees/Red Sox matchup in the ALDS. I picked the Red Sox to win the WS and expect them to win this series. Even though as of late the pitching has been struggling especially the bullpen.

Red Sox took game 1 of the ALDS last night 5-4. The Yankees almost made the comeback complete last night. Despite the Red Sox being up 1-0, if you’re a Yankee fan you have to feel confident. Especially going against the Red Sox bullpen.

Yankees are saying how Severino didn't have enough time to warm up before the game started

Yankee fans now wish that they never got Stanton and even some are saying trade Torrees for a pitcher.

I said from the beginning of the year they needed better starting pitching. I'm not too upset today because I knew they never had much of a chance this year.

Stay classy Yankee fans

A beer was thrown at kimbrel when he was coming into the game and a few Redsox fans had beer thrown at them.

I'm sure that stuff happens all the time at Fenway too. I've seen some crazy stuff at both. Drinking will do that.

Overreactions. It's the "evil empire" we're talking about here, so I'm sure they can throw $100 million+ at their pitching problems via free agency. ;)

Say it all the time. All those home runs on regular season never translate to playoff baseball. If you can't score runs by hits, stolen bases and productive outs, you basically have no chance

I've been saying that to other Yankee fans for months Rangers. That combined with the lack of SP kept me from getting my hopes up so i'm not too upset or surprised right now.

Look at the 2015 Royals against the Mets

They played small ball and beat them in the WS.

Good relief pitching is also a must. I agree with you, but for all the obsession over starting pitching, I think it is impossible to win the World Series without strong relief pitching in this day and age. Many times starters only go 3-4 innings in the playoffs.
