If you are on eastern LI this weekend (Saturday)make sure you have gas for your generator. Wind gusts to 60 mph are possible out there with the risk of widespread power outages. Low lying areas closer in to NYC should watch for coastal flooding with tidal departures up to 3 - 4 feet above normal possible on Saturday.

Be prepared for high winds during the day tomorrow. Worst conditions will be on the south shore / east end of LI and the Jersey Shore. Gusts of up to 60 mph are possible. Power outages are possible.

2"+ of rain, winds gusting to 40 to 50+ mph, and temps in the 40's for most of the weekend. No sun until Tuesday. Just a typical fall weekend in the northeast. Many people say fall is their favorite season. The leaves are nice but you have to deal with a lot of dark, rainy, raw weather.

At first I was eyeing this storm being my cruise is leaving Sunday. Now that this storm dosent pose a threat, now we got to worry about Oscar being we will be going to Bermuda. As of now looks like it could get to a strong Tropical Storm and wander to the east of the Island. Hoping the next front carries it away sooner then later

I woke up it was 36 degrees cold rain. Kinda felt like if it was just a few degrees colder we could’ve gotten a few flakes.

This really was not a true Nor'easter, the way I see it. It was more like an ill defined low pressure, not to intense but full of rain, moving up the coast. The wind that was created, which in my area was not real impressive, happened because of a pressure gradient between the high to the northeast and the low.

This has been one God awful fall. We went from heat and humidity, to now needing the heat on. Only a few nice days inbetween but by and large most days were overcast and rainy. It's been so dreary, and the rain really hasn't stopped since July 4th. At some point we will switch to a drier pattern, probably just in time for winter.

Today was actually quite nice in and around Rockaway for leaf peeping. Colors have peaked and looked great today under the overcast skies.

was down in LBI all weekend.
severe flooding (many year rounders said worse since sandy), which was from the bay not the rain.
was definitely windy and the beaches got beat.
for those that know the new dunes, it was up to them.
