I'm not sure if the present radar is accurate but it seems to show snow in the Poconos at this time.

There are accums on the ground at Pocono Summit (Kalihari exit). Light snow being reported at Mt. Pocono, Hazleton, and Wilkes Barre as of last observation.

Looks like warm air starting to move into the Poconos now. That rain/snow line is lifting north.
Watch Thursday be a nice thump in our area, as I am expected to be in Queens for 2 nights starting Wednesday. I will rely upon neighbors for updates.

The Weather Channel map seems pretty bullish on a 3-5" event for NW NJ and 5+ way up in the Catskills highest peaks.

So much for a prolonged stretch of warm weather

NAO AO and EPO are going to be negative along with a favorable PNA in the near future

December is going to be a very interesting month with cold and snow chances

If I were a winter/snow lover (I'm not anymore)...I'd be concerned long-term for this winter with a cold regime setting in at this early point in the season. You can't expect it to last for 4 months.
