I think there’s just a bit of panic when there’s just a bit of cold and nothing to track lol.

Yes there is some cold but the storm track appears to be north of us at least for the next few weeks, giving little chance of snow, especially at the coast;

If you want to see a live snow scene, here is a live streaming cam from North Conway N.H. North Conway is a typical small New England village just south of Mt. Washington.

Based off what?

The op runs are very volatile in the long range. Take them with a grain of salt.

It's snowing here in Cooperstown. They still have a decent amount on the ground.

The Pacific isn't that bad but the models are not showing it. Plenty of meteorologists are on board with a east coast snow event in the 1st week of December but the models are not showing anything.

Any updates for this storm?

I am basing it off of the GFS and Euro. They show the next few storms to take a path to our north and west, not good for snow in our area.

It is a beautiful area. I stayed in North Conway when I went up to Mt. Washington. The webcam seems to be offline this morning, unfortunately.

Too bad about the webcam. I was looking forward to seeing their snowstorm in daylight today. By the way, I've gone up Mount Washington every way you can - drive, cog railway, and hike. I also did the ski run down Tuckerman Ravine (once).

That's why you need a seasoned vet like Joe Bastardi to give you the skinny on what to really expect in the long range. Bastardi's revolutionary use of analogs to compliment his exceptional understanding of the models has put him at the top of the meteorological pack. He delivers his forecasts with a confident intellectual swagger that can juice up any party and leave the ladies weak at the knees.
It wouldn’t be winter without the smooth stylings of our very own DD. I suppose it also wouldn’t be winter without Bastardi, for better or worse.

Keep ‘em coming, Mr. Draper.

Hopefully it will be fixed today. I went up by driving in the van they have. The funny thing, I was hoping to see some of the wild weather they get, but it was a beautiful clear day with absolutely no wind at all. However, I did have some great views.

Yeh North Conway is a great town. The last time I was there the crew at Mt Wash did a seminar at the library in town. There is also a museum in town where they have weather simulations, etc. The cog is quite an experience. Some day I would like to go back and hike it too.

I drove up 2 summers ago ironically on the same date as the solar eclipse. Saw the eclipse from the summit which was interesting.
The change in temperature and vegetation was very cool to watch. At around 5000' I hit very thick fog. That mountain is unbelievable.
Went from 76F sunny and warm at base to 48F fog and wind at the top

Some of my backpacking equipment is still somewhere on that mountain. I had to ditch it when I was doing a two day hike to the summit when I was in college. The girl I was dating at the time and was hiking with me had an asthmatic attack when we were in the middle of the Great Gulf Wilderness trail. Only way I could get her to the medics was to leave all our gear. Great memories. lol
