Here are his stats. Last year was career year. His 2018 ERA+ performance ranks 23rd all-time. 2018 -- 10-9 on a 1.70 ERA, sheesh. https://www.baseball...degroja01.shtml

The consistency is what was most amazing - 29 straight starts without giving up more than 3 runs. Of course, he should have won about 20 games.

They gave an amazing stat his last start of last season. Approx 5% of all games throughout MLB history have been scoreless after 5 innings. Almost 50% of his starts last year, the game was scoreless after 5 innings.

Definitely impressive stats, Mike. He did have the 23rd best adjusted ERA all-time, for a season. FD

btw With those stats, with 32 games-started, I think he would win up to 25 games with a good hitting team (like the Yankees).

The Mets still need to address the pen situation. Who else do you trust besides Diaz?

Anthony, Mets are second in the NL in runs-scored, but next to last in ERA. Who would have figured that?

The hitting is there but the pitching has been awful

Whenever there’s hitting, the pitching is horrible. Whenever there’s solid pitching, no one can seem to get a hit or score runs. Inconsistent team. Their 15-15 through 30 games record speaks volumes lol. I can’t bear to watch this.

I heard that it's the first time that the Mets have won a game on a single run from a home run by a pitcher.

Mets were just swept by the Brewers on the road. Drop to 16-18 on the season.

The Mets haven’t won a series since Mid-April LOL. Amed Rosario has stone hands at SS. Todd Frazier is basically an automatic out at the plate. The pitching and hitting have flip flopped but the hitting is getting beyond awful. Brandon Nimmo has been struggling so this notion of putting him 3rd in the lineup makes no sense. The manager has to do something, you can’t keep sending automatic outs to the plate and say “We’re fine”. I know people want to say calm down it’s early May. But I’ve seen this movie before and I know where it goes.
