Euro ensembles split the vortex but the cold air ends up on the wrong side.

I remember several years ago I was eating outside at spumoni gardens in Brooklyn in short sleeves on NYE.

I wonder if the stratospheric warming is playing tricks with the models.

This would have been a slam dunk winter for our area if the mjo cooperated.

This would be a huge busts for majority of forecasters if this winter turns out to be a dud.

Guys, last winter started off slowly, but ended up a very interesting winter; with 47 inches of snow here. That is almost double the annual average snowfall for my area.

27 of my 47 inches came after February 17. FD

Models are trending stinger with the low for next week.

Too early to say what the track will be but interior sections will be favored.

This mornings GFS is a big hit for interior. Looks like coast is snow to rain to snow, NW NJ is snow to ice to snow. Poconos and Catskills remain all snow. This is for Jan 3. Letís keep trending this one
