So trying to follow the different scenarios, i have come to the conclusion that any ideas, thoughts, snow maps, ice maps or rain possibilities at this time are all for naught. Nothing will come into focus until Wednesday night/Thursday when the storm actually hits the continental US. One other impact, how strong the Thursday night storm gets and how much cold air it can actually pull down. Regardless of what happens on Sunday, that storm looks like it will create the block needed to change the upper air patterns going forward. So every 4-5 days after Sunday, we will be tracking another storm heading in our direction. Those future storms may have negative tilts to them depending on how strong the blocking is.
