I'm under a WWA for 3-5 inches of snow from the NWS, TWC has me at 1-3Ē. Wonder how this will play out? probably be moisture starved but NWS is saying 15:1 ratio's so who knows. At least its not snow to ice/freezing rain.

I was thinking May on that idea. Current pattern does not favor a coastal storm of any type- be it rain or snow.

Boy how things changed =)

I guess the gfs was right =)

The gfs was the 1st to start the southeast trend and now the euro has followed it.

I am surprised you are so sure of a cold start to March given the pattern this winter.

I knew this pattern would yield snow and cold . Very negative Epo and favorable Mjo.

Thatís quite a victory lap you are taking considering you have been calling for a pattern change to cold and snow since mid December.

Well, apparently neither of us forecast, we both just look at the models. Enjoy....

If tonight’s event unfolds as expected, I suggest we dub this Winter Storm Janice, in honor of the TV met who called it five days out and even beat Metsfan to the punch.
