Such a shame that the accumulating snow is done. What a joke. NWS should be shut down indefinitely.

This wasn’t even a hard storm to forecast , most models were correct on lower amounts . Never understood why they went so high

Especially when the main low pressure is over the Great Lakes. Not a good scenario for snow.

Storm is starting later than originally forecasted, how can you call for a bust when it didn't even start yet?

Exactly! "Snow" started hours after originally forecasted. Just a coating before sleet/rain mix. Big bust.

This is freaky. After a fine sleet for the past few hours, we've gone back to snow. Temperature has also continued to fall slowly, down to 30 F from 34 this morning.

Anyone have any thoughts why, at my location?

3” of snow in Dutchess, snow started coming down real hard around 12:30 so I knew the change over was close. Been sleeting for the past hour at 19°

NWS had me at 6-8” last night and lowered me to 3-6” this morning. Barely made it to the low end of the forecast.
