Well, folks, we finally pulled the trigger and are headed to Florida today. Looking forward to extending summer a few more months!

I read a while back that the all time October high temperature in NJ is 92°. If that's true, that record was shattered today, as many places have reached 94-95 degrees. Even up here in Sussex County it's made it all the way up to 90.

99 at CLT. That's an all-time October record. Not to mention higher than any temp over the summer. Plus it's supposed to be hotter tomorrow - yikes.

On the bright side (no pun intended), we've been abnormally dry lately, so some rain keeps us from being in a drought.

Could get pretty nasty tomorrow especially as you head east. Strong winds could gust to tropical storm force.
