The pattern depicted on all the models starting next week is a thing of beauty . Tons of blocking to the north with an active jet. If this holds , we can be looking at a few wintry weeks ahead.

Terrible. Cold weather sucks

That is some dry air out there today. Dewpoints are below zero. I actually got a fire alert on my phone from the weather channel app. Crank the humidifiers.

Its good and bad. I wonder if a warmer pattern now would be better. Im afraid with the cold now it will lead into a more mild pattern later like end of Dec when we really want the cold then.

I say we take it now and take advantage of the very low sun angle.

Under a WWA for tomorrow. Freezing rain mixed with sleet at times going to rain and then back to frozen precip at night.

I was under a WWA for Sunday into Monday afternoon and got nothing. I woke up with 2" of snow this morning and had no advisory. Kids on a 2 hour delay.

Received just rain last night into this morning. Seemed like an elevated related event. Not far north of me in the higher elevations received 1” or so of snow as well. Nothing here.
