Low of 32 in Walpack and 33 in Sandyston on the first day of met summer. Stefano said there was frost. Geez, gardening is not going well this year for some.

Got down to 43 here. Hard to get the pool temperature up with these chilly temps. However the day time highs in the 60s and 70s are very comfortable.

Woke me up. Let's see if we get a similar round this afternoon. Should help you and the rest of the NYPD, although would be better if the timing (according to the futurecasts) were a little later in the evening, My father was an NYPD cop & detective. He always said the greatest cop of all time for getting criminals off the street (at least, temporarily) was mother nature.

Stay safe out there.

That's one hell of a healthy looking bow echo coming through to the south of our area.

I almost wish the rioters had stayed out there. A few well-placed bolts of lightning would have taken care of some of them at zero expense to the taxpayers. The “Mother Nature is Racist” articles would have been hysterical to read.

Back to the weather. Nasty night. Didn’t lose power fortunately but had a couple rounds of heavy rain and intense lightning.

Multiple tornado warnings in Central FL last night as Cristobal moved north, with touchdowns reported near Universal Studios. Seems most of the rain was centered on the Florida peninsula area.

No air conditioning needed the past few nights, lows of 52, 55 and last night 54. Probably in some of the north and west areas, a little heat might have been in order.

Interesting article on the Saharan dust layer and impact to hurricanes. I can vouch for the sinus issues.

Pop-up storms today maybe. The sky got ominous by me late Saturday but hardly any precipitation came of it.
