Hazy hot and humid to start.
Been pretty dry overall except for pop up showers and thunderstorms, most of which have been below severe criteria except a few. Itís nice to have a dry sunny summer although I donít think I could ever live in Florida. After a month of heat I am finished.

Severe thunderstorms near NYC and especially central and south Jersey
Not a drop by me but in the last 30 mins the outflow from thunderstorms has made the wind howl outside my window.

Got hammered near the border of Essex and Passaic Counties in Northeastern NJ. Not a ton of thunder and lightning but it rained buckets for 15-30 minutes.

Coastal low could affect the area on Friday-Saturday. Could possibly be tropical in nature.

Since end of June I have had virtually zero rain in Randolph. The storms keep moving North or South of me. Even the heavy downpours yesterday that crushed the towns to my immediate East, Morristown and Morris Plains barely dropped any rain at all.

Now a good chance that a tropical system will affect us in a couple of days. Hopefully I can get some much needed rain and other areas that have been missing these torrential downpours.

Same movie today. Heaviest rain is both north and south of me. I will take a good tropical soaking if we can get it.

Had that cell sit over us yesterday. About 4 inches of rain in less than two hours. Never seen it rain that hard for so long. Alot of flash flooding on our streets. Unbelievably people of this town were calling our public works Dept complaining about the drainage and water at their house. WTF do you want us to do? Can't control the weather

We're officially under a tropical storm (Fay) warning. Seems about right for 2020.

Of course. It hasn't rained all summer. I take a day off work and make a tee time at Great Gorge in Jersey, and we get a fu**ing tropical storm

Went out for a walk but had to come in after about 30 minutes. Pretty uncomfortable the whole time. Came in and guzzled two glasses of water. Maybe Iíll try again later when the sun goes down.

Very hot and humid today. Mid 90s for a high. Luckily I got home, sat on couch, looked up and notice a water spot on ceiling. The HVAC compressor? Upstairs was leaking. Drain line clogged. Hopefully I got it unclogged good. If I wasn't home water definitely would have been all over the living room
