Someone mentioned it on one of the weather Facebook sites I follow. They mentioned for Saturday AM to watch out for

The problem with any potential weekend storm is lack of cold air. If one does form this weekend it looks like only the high elevations have a chance for snow.

Wasn’t this supposed to be an arctic air mass/polar vortex?

Towards the middle latter of the month is supposedly what I heard.Just going by what others have said and posted on other sites and it sure looked promising. Hope it happens. Along with blocking?

The NAO is negative yet nothing seems very blocked. I believe some of the arctic air is modified from what they first thought.

I would love the 60s now. We've been in the 40s and 50s (barely). I mean yeh I would like it to legitimately snow once, but otherwise I can't wait for spring.

still holding out hope for two or three really snowy weeks before mid February. Let a couple of feet pile up, then bring on a warm sunny spring.

really nice blocking by later next week. Both NAO and AO stay negative, AO moreso. However the flow looks pretty zonal underneath it and not a storm to be found lol.
