Upton mentions nothing about it being an elevation event and more of just an inland event . Soundings don’t show it being elevation dependent either . Guess Mt holly doesn’t believe the soundings

Just read their discussion. Very good point. They are thinking the further NW the better off you will be in terms of snow. No mention of elevation whatsoever.

This will be an elevation dependent event. The further north you are from I80 the better off you will be for snow accums. Lower elevations and places south of I-80 will see mostly rain or white rain.

The temps might be border line during the day. That might be why higher elevations will see more.
