We might have more inches of salt on the road than snow this storm. We have to still order 400 ton of salt before end of the winter. Keep in mind we are only a 2.2 square mile village 😂😂

i almost twisted my ankle on the salt in the parking lot this am

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations up to 2 or 3 inches, with the greatest amounts in
the higher terrain. Total ice accumulations up to one tenth of
an inch.

* WHERE...Monroe County in Pennsylvania, and the New Jersey
counties of Sussex, Warren and Morris.

* WHEN...From 7:00 AM this morning until 4:00 AM Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes.

Best chances of seeing any significant snow with this event will be in NYS north of I84. Precip in Pennsylvania is a nasty light wintry mix. According to MPING this extends up to the border with NY. There is a warm layer up there between 700mb to 800mb and this is moving towards the north and east along with the precip. In order to get any snow in northern NJ and in the NYC area precip rates will have to increase in order to mix this warm layer out. Not too sure if that happens. In any case road conditions will become quite treacherous as we go through the day especially away from the immediate coast with this wintry mix.

Snowing and sticking here in Parsippany/ Boonton area. Started as some light sleet but turned to snow when intensity increased. Everything turning white.
