Models are all over the place right now but something is coming our way

It appears the LP will stall out somewhere between ACY and Montauk. This may lead to a long duration event, but jury still out on type of precip to fall, strength, and banding issues.

More to come over the weekend, but this could start sometime Sunday evening and persist into Tuesday morning.

Euro crushed Philly with over a foot of snow. NYC gets near a foot.

Models seem to have a bias to showing long term events and stalling for snowstorms, but rarely seems to materialize. I cant seem to recall one, is there a recent example?

Blizzard of 96.....Started on Sunday and finished up on Tuesday
But this was a special once in a multi decade storm
Within hours we had several inches of snow and it snowed hard all night long

Well early call for my area in north west NJ Iím hearing 12Ē-24Ē Iíll take it !!!!! Could be higher...🤪
This storm is looking mighty impressive. Whether you like it or not itís winter and these are the kind of storms we had many a winter when I was a kid and we looked forward to, and our parents werenít always complaining about it. Oh and many a times we did go to school.
If it does happen and old man winter comes through just try to enjoy it my god stop complaining spring will be here be before you know it.
Enjoy the change of seasons. I just lost my dog yesterday and she loved the snow. Iíll miss walking her in it.
I think we will see winter storm watches soon...

It is way too early to look at Snow maps, in my opinion no one should be putting out a snow map for this event at this stage of the game. No one has a handle on what the storm is going to do and it is irresponsible to put snow maps out. the euro has been trending south and east wile the Canadian and GFS bring snow to the region. a better handle on this will be Saturday, Saturday evening stay tuned

Looks like a fairly typical winter storm event at this point. Mixing at the coast? How far north does the snow go?
