Too early to say but it can be another big one

We are working with arctic air infused in the storm. Track is not determined yet.

pattern is active but seems more progressive. So yeh definitely opportunities for snow but certainly nothing like what just happened. Of course there are 2 arctic fronts in the pipeline too.

There are several posters on the Hackettstown message board with totals at least 28". It's not just one random person. Those bands were definitely heavier to the south. Not talking about that much of a difference.
Given yesterday’s radar presentation I believe it is possible.

Those 30 inch amounts are 100percabt horse**** except maybe mendham who got hammered all day . No way do any of those places have 30 inches on the ground . Newton says 32 inches ? My buddy Nick stefano lives next town over in sparta , he has 22 on the ground
There was a lot of blowing and drifting with this storm. I have drifts in my backyard to that depth. However that is not a mean. Anyone can send in a snow fall report. That does represent that they know how to measure or report what they measured truthfully or accurately. My total as of this morning is 23”.

There is no one anyone will get an accurate measurement. Even trained spotter. I call bs on alot of these totals being reported for some areas. No way anyone in Sussex County got 30. I measured anything from,a low of 17 to a high of 26 with spots over 30 in drifts.

Why not just go with "a lot" as the official outcome?

I am seeing liquid equivalents well over 2.5" on cocorahs so take that into account also.

24" here. I had drifts up to my waist, but realistically the 32" readings seem like they were measuring in areas where snow was blowing off the roof. Then again, who am I to question anyones measurement; especially when it's multiple reports from trained spotters. Banding was definitely heavier S of me but I did get into some better banding in the afternoon and evening. Currently getting moderate snow. I don't remember such a long duration event, maybe Feb 2006 is an analogue in terms of duration? It's been snowing non-stop since Sunday night. I'm not a weather historian just an enthusiast so don't quote me. Great storm and it's ongoing. I'm an essential worker and will be driving into the hospital tonight, the main road looks ok from my house so should be good. Stay safe everyone. Another storm Sunday looks similar!!!!

I measured 22 0n the ground as of 12 am last night . Def more fell but never added to new snow depth so I reported as 22

Thanks! Its comical listening to my neighbors. They are saying two and half feet. I just stay quiet and help them shovel.

Just got home from work going in at 4am Monday. No one needs this much snow, especially shutting down businesses after being crippled since march 2020
