One of the problems with having an overseas web hosting company, at least with ours, is that there is no live person contact. Despite countless work tickets having been opened regarding the board being down, there was no response from the host company and no other opportunity or avenue to communicate. From piecing things together, the host company did not recognize the domain name renewal in January, well in advance of the annual expiration at the end of February, despite their own site showing a record of the paid invoice. I finally went through my credit card company to track down a phone number for the domain name charge, left a voice mail message, and the board was back up. Frustrating experience.

Yay! Nice work robbbs. Very frustrating indeed. Any way we can switch the site over to something not overseas?

Thanks, Robbs. I’m one of those regular viewers/irregular posters. I was starting to worry! Glad to see the site up and running again. Long live nycmetroweather!
