Starting off the month with a fire weather statement for central and southern NJ pine barrens region. Amazing how we had a decent amount of rain the other day and we are back to dry conditions. I think overall we are close to average maybe slightly below for precipitation region-wide. Looks like we go back to humid and rainy conditions next week.

Nice afternoon. Little muggy and 71*. Grass is growing like wild fire. Cut it Saturday, and just cut it again. Did throw down Weed and Feed a few weeks ago

that's weird that you have it. it doesn't really start growing until it is consistently above 80. But it handles the 90's much better than other grass.

I'm ok with it. Every dry hot summer I'm the only lawn on the street that's green

This weather is a joke. It's may and can barely get out of the 50s with sun. Now forecasted low 50s and showers for the weekend. Give me the damn 70s

Miserable....doubly so because it is a Saturday. We're at Randall's island for my daughter's track meet and it's raining pretty good at the moment. Last couple of Saturdays have been tough. Seem we can never get through May without an extended stretch like this.

I have never experienced a hailstorm like we had in Randolph this weekend. In the span of about 5 minutes roads were covered and completely white. We probably accumulated a bit more than a half inch of pea sized hail.

Storm fired over Jefferson and got strung out from West Milford down to Mt Olive. Seems like it fired over the ridges. Good view of the rain bands from my house but not a drop of rain here. Drove down to Sparta to meet my parents and totally dry there but at least 6-7 degrees cooler there compared to my house.
My parents said it was 81 in NYC when they left and it dropped to 57 in the rain in Jefferson.
