Flooding rains yesterday in downtown Flushing, Queens.
Ridiculous cell just sitting over the Throgs Neck/Whitestone bridge area. I heard reports of 5” of rain in parts of Queens yesterday. Nuts!

Amazing...the last time we had several crappy days in a row? Memorial Day weekend.

I have been out of the weather loop recently but looks like a strong ULL that's just pivoting around us.
Really would like for this thing to clear out although the rain is beneficial. What bad timing!

The wall to wall coverage with weather and media on repeat regarding Elsa is a little over the top.

The coast will feel some effects from the tropical system up here. NJ northward on the coast is in the cone.

Center should be just a few miles east of Charlotte tomorrow morning. No big deal but any rain we get in the summer is great.

The complex that moved through around this time yesterday was nuts in northern NJ. At least we will get beneficial rain.

Around noon today was absolutely insane here. Most frequent lightning I've seen in a long time and huge thunderclaps

A lot of lightning with this batch.

seems like it's been very active up there this summer (and a lot of hot days also). Very hot out west too although at least they seem to be having a decent monsoon season. Down here it's been very normal i would say. There is talk of another La Nina which probably isn't good for hurricane season. Last year was a moderate La Nina i believe but you guys at least got a decent amount of snow.

Wild fires really dimmed the sunshine here yesterday and today. The moon had an orange look to it last night.

That storm missed me to the north but put on a wild light show around 11pm.
I love thunderstorms but I hate how hit and miss they are
