This storm is insane! Haven’t seen rain this heavy since Irene. Heavy lightening and thunder too. Tornado watches in Union County

Agreed - worst I have seen in some time. I am on the edge of Manville and think this will not be pretty for many around here.

So far not impressed. Radar looks worst then what it is.

Sure about that?

This is horrible. My grandpas basement in Bayside has 3” of water in basement. My parents have water too. Streets are raging rivers in a lot of parts of NJ. This is very bad.

A precinct in Staten Island had 300 calls that came in. Majority were calls of their vehicles stuck in flooding.

This is going to be up there with Sandy in regards to the flooding and the amount of damage in many parts of the Northeast and Mid Atlantic.

I am up late watching CNN and they are talking about people who called for help in New York dying -- not old and no mention of disabilities. I can't believe it. They showed big flooding in Newark and I don't remember Newark getting flooded all the years I lived in NYC and Jersey City.

I had no idea you guys would get wacked so hard by Ida. CNN just showed the Q train travelling through falling water like it was going through some gigantic subway car wash.

You guys just got all that rain the other week. It is simply unbelievable. I hope everybody is OK.

Over 5 inches or rain here. Small streams turned roads into rivers. Couple trees down. Was able to be released from OT at 130am. Now going in to cleanup down trees that we pushed off the roads. Thankfully barely any water in my basement. Just some seepage in laundry room that was handled with one towel
