How many of you fish. I know not many people like sharing fishing holes but maybe some of you can. I catch and release everything (if I catch).
Moved up here last spring and did not have time to do much fishing. I have two kids that love to go with me. But I need some idea's on were to go. Many places are privite. So if anyone is willing to help let me know
1. places to ice fish
2.places to fish the rest of the year.
So far the only place I have found a good spot is Greenwood lake for Musky. Launch out of the sportsman. Go north along the shore untill you see a brown boat house with a red gargedoor. There is a private beach just a few lots down. In between there find the drop off of around 12 ft of water. they hang out on that drop off and head in to the shallows right there. Use live bait the bigger the better (use a 30-50 leader) or some musky baits like a buzz bait, inline spinner or a jerk bait. (no, its not named after me like my wife said) we also caught some big pearch and large mouth bass there. Hope this migh help someone.

I like to fish for largemouth bass. I dont go as much as I would like to but I dont have the time anymore since. One of the best Largemouth lakes around the area id Pines Lake in Wayne NJ. Its private but not many bother you.

i say forget the freshwater and come to the ocean or sound and get some nice bass and blues the run for bass should be starting in about another 1 1/2months or a little more. as for ice fishing i wouldnt even try that one. but defintely look into the saltwater fishing but this year may stink fluking wise new regulations!!! :(
