3) Major storm develops on the Plains Friday night and moves to near Chicago by Sunday night. Storm develops secondary south of New England Sunday night and then whole system moves east early next week. Widespread winter storm this weekend on the northern Plains will spread through lakes and interior Northeast Sunday into Sunday night where temps don't come up above freezing.
