38 F here already.

You guys never thought you'd see me write this, but I'll take a temperate day or two.

The warmth and late-February sun angle yesterday allowed me to clear my driveway and north-side roof of their stubborn ice and snow. :flowers:

Snowpack is still holding pretty strong. The fresh 4 inches over the snowpack the other day really helped.

February 8 - 0.75 inches
February 11 - 0.5 Inches
Total to-date - 7.4 inches

38 here and never went below freezing last night. If it wasn't for the 30mph wind gusts, it would be a nice day. Yesterday I was in extreme SW Connecticut and from there went about 15 miles north to South Salem Ny. The most snow was on the ground here on Long Island, there was less in the Greenwich Ct. area and even less up in South Salem. Very unusual winter in that sense. I have a feeling next week will change that.

Going into that changeable time of the year. Hit 60 in Atlanta yesterday for the first time in a while.

Jersey temps. Is your thermometer in sun because you're warmer than the whole state.

43 degrees here, wind makes it uncomfortable. High gust 32mph. I like mild days with lots of snow on the ground.

Still remember a few years ago when a sudden and dramatic warm-up in March took my area to the low 80's but my pool pump was still lodged in ice. So I take the cover off in that area to sink it through and pump out too high a water level, and peer down under the cover at solid ice that covered the whole pool while I'm standing there in shorts and a tank top, sweating like a July day from cleaning up leaves, in 83 degree sunshine.

Notice how the deep snow cover down south is keeping temps several degrees colder, although as we head into late feb and march, that effect is lessened due to the higher sun angle.

I actually read that off my Wunderground site; usually don't do that. Home thermometer is currently 45 F (shade, always).

43.5 with party cloudy skies. Feels much colder because of the cold winds.

The shade has about 2-3 inches of snow cover the sun spots are basically bare.
