These fights between networks and cable companies are getting out of control. You can't tell me that both parties aren't flush with cash. They'll get theirs either way, so figure out a way to get a deal done so viewers don't get screwed. This is ABC we're talking about here also, not an obscure cable station.

Time Warner had a similar fight a couple of months ago with the Fox network. I guess this is just going to keep happening.

They're all just as bad as each other. The FCC needs to create some sort of arbitration panel that every one of these disputes automatically goes to if the two sides do not come to a new agreement by the end of the expiring deal (and particularly with the local broadcast networks). Once expired, an automatic 60 day extension kicks in and at the beginning of which both sides make their cases to the panel, and they make their binding ruling by the end of the 60 days.

That's a good idea. It's happened too often lately where neither side is willing to give an inch.
