WCBS 880 - snow and sleet sunday evening - snow, sleet, rain sunday night ends monday morning "might create a messy monday morning trip"
1010wins - not as strong as the valentine's day storm - city south and east mixes with rain - messy commute...
No one is saying anything about a three-six inch snowstorm.. Hope this changes... as things usually go, it will not and just be a crappy morning monday... :(

Be careful snowfreak - yes it could be a 3-6 event, but how many times are we going to get burned thinking more snow and get a mix and that is it, no met has called for any accumulation yet so lets be cautious or the snow crowd is going to get started especially how desparate everyone is after the lack of snow this winter - stand by for a Jeff B update..

Good point freak and I agree - just never happens that we get snow or a good size snow when they talk mix... If Jeff B. the biggest snow person ever says mix and rain - it will not be a big event...

The sleet/frzg rain part scares me. We all know how this works. Any serious mixing and you can forget getting more than a few inches. And you know eventually there will be a model run that shows warmer air creeping into this thing and of course the panic will set in. We'll see. I always have hope but this winter I am esp cautious.
Is this really our first WSW? I thought maybe NW nj had one already? Can't remember.

Satellite,
Monday morning may be a really bad commute - my point is that for most folks this is not going to be a 6 inch snow event

My thoughts exactly. We said the same thing last time. We're not downplaying this at all. It's going to be treacherous Sunday and Monday. I'm already planning to work from home. But if you want more than 3 or 4 inches of snow, well that line does not look like it will be anywhere near the coast/city.
