Looks to be hit or miss with thunderstorms, but the chances are there for a widespread heavy rain event, sure could use the water.
Here's the forecast from NOAA:
FOR MONDAY...EXCESSIVE HEAT ALONG WITH SCT TROPICAL DOWN POURS ARE
ON TAP. HEAT INDEX VALUES ARE FORECAST TO RISE TO 95 - 98 DEGREES
DURING THE AFTERNOON. AS A WEAK COLD FRONT APPROACHES WITH A MOIST
UNSTABLE MARITIME TROPICAL AIR MASS IN PLACE...SCT SHOWERS AND
TSTMS ARE FORECAST TO DEVELOP. POTENTIAL HAZARDS INCLUDE A CHC FOR
HVY RAINFALL AND DAMAGING WINDS. THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS
PLACED THE AREA WEST OF A LINE FROM NE CT SW ACROSS THE NJ COAST
WHICH INCLUDES NEW YORK CITY...IN A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE TSTMS.

FOR TUESDAY...AS ANOTHER UPSTREAM TROUGH DEVELOPS AND THE UPPER
FLOW BACKS TO THE SW...THIS WEAK COLD FRONT SHOULD STALL JUST EAST
OF THE LOCAL AREA.

FOR WEDNESDAY...ALTHOUGH THERE ARE DIFFERENCES AMONG THE FORECAST
MODELS...A SURFACE WAVE IS FORECAST TO DEVELOP ALONG THIS STALLED
BOUNDARY AND RIDE NE ALONG THE BOUNDARY. THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR
AN EXCESSIVE RAINFALL EVENT DEPENDING UPON THE LOW`S TRACK. STAY
TUNED.

THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS SUNDAY...DUE TO LONG
PERIOD SWELL AND SOUTHERLY WIND.
total snow and ice 47.5in. (2008-2009)
total snow 88.5" (2009-2010)
