one more thing to add, the yellow showing on the nws radar is all snow

My confidence is increasing for the 4-8" across much of the region. May even be all snow for central NJ.

Where are some of these mets getting the idea of mixing from? Looking at the weather.com radar it's coming over as all snow.

I dont know but from the reports im reading esp. dc area they were suppose to get a mix and in fact south of dc started as a mix than went to heavy snow

Wow do you guys see that rain/snow line in DCA area? Not budging! Beautiful high pressure to the north allowing for CAD (cold air damming) shoving low level cold air below the advancing precip. Wild ride coming folks.
Stormchaser -- I agree. I think maybe even LI may not have many mixing issues. That precip is phenomenal and the r/s line is just not budging.

nobody araound dc was suppose to get all snow and they are mighty shocked how much they have so far
