There is some good radiational cooling taking place with this snow pack, so I figured I would start a thread for it. I am down to 26 degrees. I think the middle of next week may even bring lower nightime lows because of good radiational cooling.

I'm down to 13.8 right now. BM will probably be correct about hitting 10. Looks like I'm one of the coldest spots in the state due to the deep snowpack. It's not often that I'm equal to temps in the Pine Barrens -- Robert J Miller air park reporting 14F; they're in central Ocean County. With snow as their surface rather than sand, radiational cooling is now virtually the same b/t down there and Monmouth County.
Remarkable urban areas around 34-35 still. 20 degrees warmer than here.

It's nights like tonight that I am furious that I do not have my weather station hooked up! AHHHH! I could scream!! I like monitoring the major temperature differences in the tri-state with a reading from my backyard. This sucks.

As of Midnight.

Storm - Some outlying sections of Queens already in the mid 20's (Floral Park, NY reporting 25)...as opposed to LGA coming in at 34 at Midnight.
Don't let those airport temperatures represent all of Queens and Brooklyn as there are definitely micro-climates within NYC limits.
