I intentionally went farther north than model QPF. 500 mb confluence is north of the area and I wouldn't be surprised to see the moisture end up a little farther north than progged. BTW, 1 inch is far, far more likely than 3.

no complaints if i get an inch out of this second wave, it would be a pleasant surprise because i was thinking the farthest snow would be is central jersey so would be nice to get another inch up here.

Latest Ruc has the 2nd wave north. NYC sees light to moderate snow while the
heaviest falls in SNJ.
Also, the latest HRR also trended northward.

I think a lot of the northern part is virga. Also the winds have picked up here and the DPT is now down to 18. Think the dry air is going to win here

Upton says this low is weakening as it comes east, sees only flurries for my area and best case scenario a coating to an inch.

Pay attention to the dewpoints this evening. Mine has free-falled from 30 down to 11 in the past 4 1/2 hrs. Dewpoints in other areas of northern NJ have dropped into the teens this afternoon. This will serve to reinforce that sharp cutoff of the precip - probably not too far to the north of the PA Tpke as you go east from Harrisburg to NJ.

I think the idea is the cold air is going to push the snow off to the south as it approaches our area. We shall see.
