all a heavy snow warning is

this generally means that four or more inches of snow has accumulated in 12 hours, or six or more inches of snow in 24 hours.

a winterstorm warning is 6 or more inches in 12 hours 8 or more inches in 24 hours.  So a heavy snow warning means less acuums
