Heavy wet snow now, sticking everywhere, about 1/2" down. Very frustrating to get over 2" of rain last night while temp held at 33-34, now 32.
3.15" total rain.

I, for one, hate when this happens. :getlost:

Here's some of the most frustrating winter weather occurences:
1. A nice snowfall changing to rain.
2. Rain/snow line very near you and not budging.
3. 0 F with bare ground.
4. Rain at 33 F.
5. On the outer edge of a huge precip shield.
6. Stuck in-between bands of a major snowfall.
7. Sleet at 20 F.
8. Retreating cold air with 15 F temps the day before a storm goes to your west.

Some of these are all the worse when folks on the board are reporting their heavy totals. lol It's like not being invited to a party.

Please feel free to add your own pet peeves...

You left out 4 that I can immediately think of.

1. The comma head dryslot of a major storm. Not only does it cutoff precip but it floods the mid levels with warmth
2. Getting into sunshine and 40's under the warmfront on the more potent northern stream clippers while it's a different universe further north
3. Being at the edge of the cut-off line while 20 miles away from you gets double digit snow
4. Seeing a virga blizzard overhead without a flake reachng the ground

I'll add something that we're likely to encounter over the next couple of months:

A warm front stalling just south of your area so you get 40s/50s and clouds with a raw wind off the ocean, while not that fat to the south it is 20-30 degrees warmer.
You're only young once, but you have your whole life to be immature!

I actually hate that one in spring and very early summer the most of all.
