Interesting that Bastardi has the more senior position but D'Aleo is a partner, presumably with equity, who was brought back out of retirement. I would think all 3 employees should have equity or will at some point. Looks to me like JB is set to be the colorman and spokesman, similar as he was at AW, D'Aleo becomes the Elliot Abrams type and Shannahan goes after the revenue, especially hedge funds. The guy putting this together is only 27. I can't imagine JB would have dumped AW without equity in a company like this. I'm also wondering if we see the JB we saw at AW at the end or a gentler forecasting JB. If the latter than AW was pressuring him for headlines and revenue. If the former than we know it was always JB seeking headlines with outlandish calls. I also wonder if there's a lot of private equity money in this, probably. or the kid made early money and is putting up a lot of his own. One thing for sure - he's like one of us with a passion for weather who extended that passion with his own business hiring reknowned pros.

This is my guess, that he tones down his bullishness.

I wonder if he left AW on his own, or if he was let go.

Ice, as I have said before having worked with JB for 11 years what you would see as "hyping" in the videos is just JB being JB. In fact, he was toned down from how he was in house before there ever was Accuweather.com. There was absolutely no need for AW to pressure JB for headlines. They could just put JB up front, let him be himself and ride the wave. So if anything, I would expect him to be more intense and make calls that seem even more outlandish.
