After all the criticism against Bush for his mid east involvement, by just about every candidate that wanted to be president, guess what now we are involved with another mideast war. One thing I was glad this administration did, other countries led the way.

I was glad to see this starting out as a coalition and was hoping other countries would have a major role. Tonight I hear there have been 122 tomahawk missiles launched, 120 by the U. S. Where is the coalition?

I think it violates the "rules of war". But our bombs may have done the trick anyway.

The Libya conflict is unusual. We bombard the Ghadafi forces but I keep hearing it is not the goal to take out Ghadafi. I don't really believe that but if they are serious it makes no sense what so ever. We are suppose to be defending the people of Libya but that really means the rebel forces that are against Ghadafi. The question is who are the rebel forces and what do they want and stand for. I hope in the end some kind of democratic government can be set up in Libya like in Iraq and hopefully Egypt. We shall see.

Is Obama really running the country or is Hillary the defacto President? I would say the latter. This is always a very dicey situation. We put sanctions in place so that the people will uprise and when they do they need help. Big issue here is quaeda relations that certain Libyan factions have.
