Heavy rain,and some nice thunder & lightning earlier(between 6:30-7:00).Cloud to ground light and loud thunder.One lightning strike hit right across the street from me,Sounded like a whip cracking,with a very loud house shaking thunder.

I got .88" of rain this morning. I missed it as I was sleeping. Looking at the radar it looks like there was some really nice thunder-storms.

Looks like it is going to get active here soon, storms are popping up all to our west, had some sun out before probably juiced up the atmosphere.

Im watching a nice storm moving in on top of sunrise mt. Cloud to ground lighting just to my west

Really interesting day for weather enthusiasts as scattered pop-up thunderstorms hit and miss. Had a deluge with vivid lightning one minute, full sun the next, and now a few minutes later another cell is moving in. Very tropical.

T storm popped up overhead and gave 0.30 in. in less than ten minutes.

At least 65 dbz with that cell. Jersey City must be getting pounded right now.

Thunder is loud but not too frequent here. Torrential downpour though.

Getting pummeled in Jersey City right now. Torrential downpor with lots of lightning/thunder.

Severe level or close to it thunderstorm currently. Wind gust over 40 mph. Recorded 0.54" qpf in 10 minutes.

Winds have died down" but torrential rains -- 0.85" in 15 minutes so far.

Soaking rain here.

I'm going to see the Somerset Patriots later. Hopefully, they will pass through by then. Does not look to be raining out there now.
