I think when the storm out west and elongated to the coast not as much moisture came across giving us less precip at the start. Light pricep did not lower the temps as much either. The low I think was a little slower developing leaving the door open for some warm air to filter in at the upper levels. And with the storm moving more easterly than we thought (and faster) Because of more blocking to the north than we expected, that also left us with less moisture. None of this properly makes sense but I tried!
