I think what it comes down to is noone seems to get it right this year.Lucky if we got 2" here,and on every station its just business as usual like they called for that.Tired of this winter -------- next just bring on Spring!!!

Come on, guys. Did you watch the weather reports? Most accumulation predictions were in the 2-5" range. I think the problem is that everyone's looking for a minimum of 12" everytime it snows. Our expectations have been overinflated by the last four years.

I stick up for the mets when they are reasonably correct. But sorry devils' I have to disagree - I responded to you on the same issue in the 3 to 6 in. thread. NWS way overstated the impact for my area.

My apologies. I hadn't really paid attention to the NWS forecasts. I was mostly watching the newscasts, which seemed to do a much better job this time. Cioffi said 3-6 for North Jersey, 1-3 for Central and South Jersey. I think CBS had the widest range, guessing that anywhere from 2-7" could fall. I'm assuming that these were low-confidence forecasts and it sounded like another tricky storm to call.
