Barring a miracle in March, their winter prediction is going to come true...below-normal snowfall for our area. Let's face it, guys. We were due for a subpar winter around here. No big deal. I'm ready for spring.

The problem I have with this type of post is that as far as I'm concerned last winter was also quite sub for us par for all but one day. Take away the blizzard and NYC and areas south are less than 20" of snow in TWO seasons COMBINED! Last winter was saved by a sole huge storm and all of its accums were wiped out in 5-7 days with 60-70 degree follow-up weather anyway. The 3.5" of snow I had from the Norlund trough in January lasted longer on the ground than the 2' I had from last February's blizzard. My view of last year is we had a great snow total in a very sub-par winter. My view of this year is we had a representative snow total in a very sub-par winter. Can it snow in March yet - sure - but the pattern we are going to be in is hardly conducive for a meaningful snow event.

So true, too bad we couldnt have gotten a big storm before the 6 weeks of cold temp. Heck, even if it was 8" i't would have made the winter feel different.
