So what does every one think is it now safe to say that this horiable so called winter is over? (not sure it really ever started in terms of snow fall) I for one am not confident that we will see a good snow storm in the next couple of weeks but that's just my opinion and would like to hear what robbs and storm think since they know alot more about the weather then i do. I think i will pay much more attenetion to bill from now on and not the nws since bill nailed this one and the nws busted big time!!

for what it is worth, jb, jim witt ( my buddy met ) dont think its over until around march 13th or so, dont forget, march can give you some surprise heavy wet snow storms, i think after mid march its safe to say, its truly over, but before then, there is still a chance of something happening, even in this God foresaken winter.

I'm not robbs and storm, but nobody can say for sure if this is the last snowstorm. Mother nature is unpredictable. However, if you look at the way that this winter has gone, heading into March this year is unlike most years. I'm not as confident as I would've been had we received some measurable snowfalls in the earlier months.

When everyone finally concludes this winter is over, we'll probably get a foot of snow. That would be a fitting ending to this season.

I can definitely see that happening, lol. There won't be any mention of it, no one will really take it seriously, then BAM! Watch, Opening Day will be "snowed out". :D

I agree. As soon as we give up the ghost there will be a storm that is supposed to be rain (you know, the old track of the storm deal). We all peacefully go to sleep knowing this winter sucks, then BAM, we wake up to 6" of new fallen snow. Sounds about right.

Bring on spring, fact is old man winter spared this part of the country. This winter was a bust as far as I'm concerned.

what the point, even IF we can get some snow, it will be gone, sun angle, temps., etc. build a snowman and a day or two later..frosty is gone. to me it's as good as over. lets look for some wicked spring storms at this point.

I agree 100% bring on spring and severe storms don't get me wrong i love the snow but im so tired of hearing that were going to get a storm and then we get nothing. I also agree with who ever said this winter has been a bust i realize in the past few years weve been spoiled with snow storms but i wouldn't have belived anyone if at the start of the winter they told me that we wouldn't even get one storm that gave us more then four inches and ya i know there is still some time for it to happen but the fact is our chances are rapidly decreasing every day. It's so aggravating when there is a chance for a snow storm we get nothing but yet when there's a chance of a rain storm we seem to always get it kind of like this week go figure the storm at the end of the week is supposed to be much stronger then our most recent storm and all rain and a lot of it.. The slaps just keep on comeing this winter

I do not remember how many years ago it was, but it had to be within the past 11, we had snow on May 1st here in Rock Hill. Does not stay long, but it did snow and stick for a while. Currently my temp is 27, which has been for most of the day, and very light flurries, non accumulating are still falling.

Temp holding at 36.5. I've gotta admit it's nice to go to work in the am without shivering!
